Resolutions for the New Year

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Introduction: When we go on a journey with no purpose, it will soon end in wandering. We must set goals for our lives in order to achieve hope. Let?셲 set goals for the New Year.

1. Live a positive life in the New Year

Our future lives are surrounded by absolute uncertainty and that?셲 why we are anxious. People go and see a fortuneteller to find out even a little clue for their future. One thing we know for sure is that human life is not always smooth. Sometimes we have to face darkness, rainstorms, high rugged mountains, and bleak deserts. These are fateful things that cannot be avoided, but there is something that we can handle. That is our life attitude toward fate.
혻혻혻 1) Wear the clothes of hope and dreams.
(1) Wear the clothes of the fivefold gospel.
?€?€(Ro 8:1-2, Jn 14:10, Ex 23:25, Php 4:19, Rev 22:12)
혻혻혻혻혻혻 (2) Wear a topcoat of the threefold blessing. (3Jn 1:2)
혻혻혻 2) Have an individual dream and hope. (Ps 81:10)
혻혻혻 3) Visualize, speak, believe, pray, and think of dreams and hope.
Then we can live a positive life while we are passing through darkness, rainstorms, rough roads, and through the desert. (Eph 3:20, Heb 11:1, Pr 18:21, Mk 11:23, Jn 15:7, Jer 33:3)

2. Practice love in the New Year

혻혻 (1 Co 13:1-3)
?€?€A life without love is nothing even if you can speak fluently and talk like an angel.
?€?€A life without love is nothing even if you are a great prophet, an intellectual, or have firm faith.
?€?€Sacrifice, service, and charity mean nothing without love and gain nothing.
혻혻혻 1) We must love God (1Jn 4:7-9)
혻혻혻혻혻혻 Adore, worship, serve, and delight God (Ps 91:14-16)
혻혻혻 2) The way for us to pay for God?셲 love (1Jn 4:20-21; Mt 25:34-40)

3. Sow good seeds in the vegetable garden of your life

혻혻혻 A farmer thinks of what to plant in a garden and doesn?셳 expect a windfall,
?€?€because the garden is always honest.
혻혻혻혻혻 We will harvest as much as we plant. It is the same in the garden of our lives.
(Gal 6:7-8, Mt 25:26)
혻혻혻 1) Even though our sins are forgiven; we still have to harvest what we have planted.
?€?€A murderer can be forgiven by repentance before God, but still has to pay a
?€?€price for sin. (Ge 9:6, Pr 22:8, Hos 8:7)
혻혻혻 2) Plant good seed for tomorrow. (Hos 10:12, Jas 3:18, 2Co 9:6, 8-10)
Seed of belief and obedience, seed of hope, seed of love, seed of righteousness,
seed of peace, and seed of joy.

Conclusion: We must make a plan for a successful and happy New Year. Have a dream and hope to live a positive life, and practice the love of God, which is the most important in our lives. Plant good seed in the garden of life, which is another year that God prepared for us, and have expectations for a great harvest.
