The Path of Affliction Leads Us to Glory
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
Introduction: Affliction makes life more meaningful, so we can sympathize with our neighbors who are facing the same affliction. We can understand them from the bottom of our heart.혻 We also need a strong will to overcome affliction and make a new life.혻 When believers face affliction, they earnestly seek God in prayer, increase their faith, and receive glory from experiencing God?셲 answers.혻Every glory from God that appeared in the Bible is the result of an answer from God during the challenge of the affliction.혻
1. The challenges in Old Testament times and God's glory
혻혻 1) The glory of God and the affliction that Israel had to experience at the Red Sea
혻혻혻혻혻 (1) The Israelites were in the depths of despair (Ex 14:10-11)
혻혻혻혻혻 (2) An answer from God and the glory of God (Ex 14:13-14)
혻혻 2) The bitter water of Marah and the glory of God
혻혻혻혻혻 (1) They were parched with thirst (Ex 15:22-24)
혻혻혻혻혻 (2) Yahweh Jireh (the LORD will provide) the glory of God (15:25, 27)
혻혻 3) Hunger in the desert and the glory of God
혻혻혻혻혻 (1) No solution in human thinking (16:2-3)

3. The challenges in our life and God's glory

혻혻 2) The Lord knows our afflictions (Isa 40:27-31)
혻혻 3) The Lord knows how to take care of them혻 (Jn 6:5-6)
혻혻 4) Commit your affliction to the Lord and pray혻(Ps 37:5-6, 1 Co 10:13)
혻혻 5) Firmly believe (Heb 11:6, Ro 4:17)
6) Wait while giving thanks and praise to God

Conclusion: When we pray and rely on the Lord instead of despair, all the pathways of affliction lead us to glory.혻 We must realize: no problem, no answer; no affliction, no glory.
