Your Kingdom Come
Matthew 6:10
10your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Introduction: Our prime concern is that our needs and desires are always being met. But mature prayer first seeks and accepts God's will.
1. Your kingdom come.
1) We should pray that God's kingdom may come to every individual, society, nation, and the world.
- God's kingdom is where God rules with His sovereignty (Ps 22:28).
2) The actual conditions of the world.
?? A nation that accepted the sovereignty and ruling of God?봳he US is a representative nation.
- God will be with the nation that accepts the kingdom of God (Ps 33:12).
?? A nation that is indifferent to God's kingdom.
- A nation that is not interested in the sovereignty and ruling of God and neither opposes nor resists His kingdom.
- Japan and Korea are representative nations.
?? A nation that is actively involved in resisting and destroying God's kingdom.
- Rome, communist countries, nations that believe in Islam and other religions.
- When Jesus comes again, all nations will enter into God's sovereignty and His ruling
(2Th 1:7-10).
3) Has God's kingdom come into our lives?
- Who is the owner and ruler of my life?
?? I myself am the owner and ruler of my life.
?? A person who serves God, like a tenant who serves a landlord.
?? People who surrender and give themselves to God?봆od's kingdom comes to these people.
2. As it is in heaven.
1) God has absolute authority. His will toward all things in heaven has already been done.
??In His creation (Ge 1:1; 2:1).
?? In His salvation (Jn 19:30).
?? In His completion of history (Rev 22:13).
?? The Bible is a book of God's revelation that has already been done. Just as lawyers refer to law books, we should also discover in the Bible what has been done (Ro 9:28; Jn 15:7).
3. Your will be done on earth.
Only what God has done will be done on earth. Prayer and faith without God's Word will be done in vain.
1) Abraham and the stars in the sky?봆od's will that is unveiled in heaven (Ge 15:5-6).
?? Look and realize.
?? Look and have a dream.
?? Look and believe.
?? Look and shout. Then the will of God will be done on earth, that is, in the life of Abraham
(Ro 4:17-18).
2) If you look up at the sky without stars, prayer means nothing.
?? Look at the promise in the sky, and then pray and believe (Heb 6:13-15).
?? Stars in the sky indicate the stars in your heart. Take a close look at the promise of stars in your heart, realize, have a dream, believe, shout, and pray.
3) God's will twinkles in the Bible like the stars in the sky.
?? It is waiting to be done on earth (Ps 37:4-5; 1Co 2:9).
?? Realize His will in your heart, have a dream, believe, confess your faith, and pray. Then the will of God will be done on earth (Mk 11:22-24).
Conclusion: When God's kingdom comes into our heart, and we pray with faith according to His will, heaven will be fulfilled in our lives.
