God’s Kingdom and God’s Will

Matthew 6:10, NIV
Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.


Introduction: A country consists of a ruler, a people, and a land. Every country may have its own ideology such as democracy, imperialism, socialism, and communism, etc. However, when it comes to the organization of a country, every country needs a ruler, a people, and a land.


1. Your kingdom come.

1) The world in this age.
① The visible world and invisible world behind the scenes.
② When Adam fell, he was degraded to the slavery of Satan (1Jn 3:8).
③ Satan rules all humankind behind the scenes.
- The human world is the kingdom of Satan. Satan is the ruler of the human world, and all people are his subjects (1Jn 5:19; Jn 8:44).
2) The kingdom of the Son of God.
① Jesus came to build the kingdom of God (Mt 4:17; 12:28).
② Jesus atoned for our sins through His blood and saved humankind who were slaves of Satan (Ro 5:8-9).
③ The kingdom of Christ.
? Accept the Lord Jesus as Savior and believe in Him.
? He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of God.
? We have become a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God.
? Sacred War - the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan (Jn 10:10).


2. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

1) God's will has already been done in heaven.
① At the time of creation, the heavens and the earth were completed (Ge 1:1).
② The work of salvation has been done through Jesus. He came in the flesh, died on the Cross, and rose again (Eph 2:8).
③ Our life plan has been done in heaven (Ps 139:16; Pr 19:21).
2) Your will be done on earth.
① The will of God is done on earth through believers (Php 4:13; Jn 15:7).
② It will be done by believing in God. Faith comes from hearing the message of God
(Dt 31:6; Ro 10:17).
③ Say to this mountain, “Go, throw yourself into the sea.” We must command and confess boldly by faith (Mk 11:23).
④ We must be absolutely positive. Do not doubt in our hearts but believe, then it will be done for us (Jas 1:6-7).


Conclusion: We should preach the Gospel and pray that the kingdom of God may come to all people. We should learn the Word to know God and believe everything it says. Through commanding and confessing boldly by faith, we should fulfill in this world what has already been done in heaven.
