Find Your Identity Hidden within You
(Pr. 4:23)
Introduction
Every seed is hiding its identity that will come out of it eventually. I have my own identity, hidden inside, that only God can identify.
If I reveal that hidden identity, it changes my life, that of my neighbors, circumstances and even fate. Therefore, do not make a judgment or criticize your life based on your external self and the practical circumstances you are in. Rather, you need to make a decision looking at your inner self given by God.
1. Hidden self and concealed identity
1) From Abram to Abraham, from Sarai to Sarah
2) Gideon, the mighty warrior * (Judges 6:12)
- Jesse’s youngest son David and his identity as the King of Israel
3) Simon Peter
- There is an invisible character inside me which can become visible to the eyes.
Therefore, there is possibility for one to be renewed as much as he likes.
2. The salvation of humankind in Jesus
1) The identity of a human being who is forgiven and has become righteous
2) The identity of a human being who is purified and filled with the Holy Spirit
3) The identity of a human being who is healed from diseases and is healthy
4) The identity of a human being who has inherited the blessings and prosperity of Abraham
5) The identity of a human being who has received resurrection, eternal life, and the Kingdom of heaven
- Don’t ever look down on yourself. We need to look at our identity and potential in Jesus Christ.
3. The place where my identity develops
1) From thoughts
2) From dreams
3) From faith
4) From languages
Conclusion
If we revive our true identity and potential, we will be changed and renewed.
