It Will Be Done according to Your Faith
(Hebrews 11:1-3)?
Introduction
Jesus Christ regarded faith as a daily necessity, like shoes or clothes that we desperately need. Therefore, faith to Jesus was the underlying power that creates daily lives. While Martha and Mary, who were burying their brother, were wailing at his graveside, Jesus told them, “Take away the stone, did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” By saying this, He showed that He considered faith as a switch that turns on the power of God. When Bartimaeus, who was blind and a beggar, came before Jesus, He asked this,” What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord, I want to see,” he replied. Then Jesus said, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight. Our relationship with the Lord is by faith. Just as love is different from hatred, joy different from sadness; so also, faith is completely different from doubt. .
1. Faith is the substance of things hoped for
  1) Hoping for is to have wishes, that is, to have a dream.
- Faith grows when we set clear goals, have strong desires and dreams and pray fervently. This faith is the guarantee that what we hope for is a sure thing.
  2) Jacob’s law of seeing
① Speckled or spotted sheep or goats produced by non-colored sheep or goats became Jacob’s possession.
② He placed the peeled branches in all the watering troughs, so that they would be directly in front of the flocks when they came to drink.
③ He earnestly wished and dreamed about sheep and goats bearing lambs and kids.
④ As a result, things happened as he believed.
2. The evidence of things not seen
1) When we set clear goals and see them in our hearts as if they are already realized, then we come to believe in them.
2) Though what we believe in has not yet materialized in our sensitive world, faith is a guarantee and proof that it will become real as we have it pictured in our hearts.
- That’s why Jesus always said,” Let it be done just as you believed it would.”, “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”, and “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.”
3. The way to make our faith grow
  1) We ought to be positive in heart all the time.
  - The field where faith grows is in our thoughts.
2) Because faith makes us think of and wish for things not yet realized as if they already exist, we ought to “have a picture of things not yet materialized as if they exist and dream about them.”
3) Faith is a confession of lips. Therefore, we ought to confess out loud as we believe.
4) In any circumstances, we ought to give thanksgiving and praises to God and expect for great things to happen.
Conclusion
The most fundamental source of our lives is faith. With faith, we can create circumstances as we believe it would.
