Christian Life and Christian Character
(Ephesians 4:25-32)

The ultimate goal of our Christian life is to take the resemblance of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29-30).
God called us on a purpose of having us grow looking like Jesus.
?

1. Transformation through the Word of God
1) Words are spiritual staples. Our hearts and minds are renewed, changed, and filled with the power of God when we read and meditate on the Word of God.
2) The Word of God guides us to the direction for our growth and drive changes for us. ?
2. Clear resolution and goal
1) Those who are indifferent to the growth of their Christian character after believing in God - secular faith
2) Those who do not want their Christian character to grow but want to have an ordinary religious life
3) Those who are resolved to become disciples of Jesus following the will of God?
3 The help from the Holy Spirit
1) Realizing one’s feebleness and seeking God’s help
2) The fullness of the Holy Spirit and personal communication with Him
3) A new being created by the holiness of righteousness and truth
- Feelings and wishes become different through the grace of the Spirit?
4. The language of the world and the language of heaven
1) Languages are a tool for expressing minds
- The language of the world is a way to the mundane world but the language of heaven brings the culture of heaven to our heart
2) Language and character are companion to each other
- One’s language reveals one’s true color.
- Lovely words, beautiful words, words of love, clean words, holy words, etc.
- A change in words brings about a change in friends and circumstances.
?

The outcome of Christian life is to go to heaven. If we take resemblance of Jesus and become a person of character while living in this world, we enter into eternity with that character. Changing ourselves is possible only when we are still alive in this world. And then we can live a life pleasing God in this life and in the after life.
