Freedom and Liberty
(Galatians 5:1)
?
?
1. Christ has set us free: Christ suffered on the Cross to set us free
1) The price of sin is death
① He took our sins and inequities for us
② He redeemed us of diseases and physical and mental pain
③ He bore curses
④ He rules over death and the Hades
2) It is finished
① No one can be saved through lawful acts
② Grace and faith
?
2. Stand firm on faith
1) God has given faith to each of us in accordance with the portion God has distributed
2) Have a dream and believe firmly with positive thoughts that we can believe
3) Let your prayer and thanksgiving overflow
?
3. Do not be burdened again by a yoke of slavery
1) The yoke that the first Adam bore
2) Jesus, the last Adam who abolished the yoke
3) There is no other way to liberty but this
4) Do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery
① Be assured of the freedom you have received - proclaim it positively.
② Resist the yoke that the devil put on you - Resist it with absolutely firm resolution
?
There are too many Christians in this world today who do not fully enjoy freedom and liberty in Christ. Everyone born to this world today is under the oppression of the devil's power and authority. What is worse is that under the oppression of the devil, we are also shackled to fear and suffering by a yoke of sin, inequality, disease, curse, death, and Hades. But we are given the freedom and liberty thanks the grace of Jesus. Now it is up to us whether we can enjoy it or not. We ought to be assured of and believe in our changed status, take freedom and liberty with strong and courageous faith, and not to pull back.
