Singing on the battlefield
(2 Chronicles 20:20~23)

On the title of psalm 92, it is written ‘a Psalm for the Sabbath Day’. As the psalm used during worship on the sabbath, Psalm 92 lets us know about the heart of God and the blessing to the worshiper given by God.

1. Worship is an expression of faith

1) The God who is enthroned on the praises of Israel ? During the time when King Jehoshaphat was invaded by the men of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir (2 Chronicles 20:20-23) (Joshua 6:20)
2) Worship and Praise
- Whenever we worship God, we also praise Him
- The book of psalms is a compilation of songs of praise, David praised God the most
(2 Chronicles 15:16-17)

2. Praise is a prayer with a melody

1) Songs that make you think positively
① Paul and Silas and the prison at Philippi (Acts 16:25-26)
② When sad and gloomy thoughts come, sing praise (Psalm 43:5)
2) Praise is an offering that carries the fragrance of worship (Psalm 69:30-31, Psalm 100:4-5)
* The confession of General Montgomery during the Second World War
* The words of the German Theologian Bonhoeffer
* When we give thanks and praise

3. Praise is a confession of the lips

1) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved (Hebrews 13:15, Psalm 50:23)
2) Through praise, you release positive thinking and faith (Ephesians 5:19-20)
(Isaiah 43:21, Psalm 63:3, Psalm 71:14)
(Psalm 147:1, Psalm 150:1-6)

When the situation is confusing and painful, we absolutely need prayer and praise in order to overcome and conquer. (James 5:13)
