The Lord Satisfying Our Needs
(1 Cor. 2:9~13)
Parents make utmost efforts to fulfill their loving children’s needs in life. Children who have economically competent parents are said to be born with a silver spoon in their mouths. A life that left God cannot fill things that lack in life with anything. Human beings can enjoy true satisfaction when God is with us and fulfills our needs.
1. Where should the sinners and the sick go?
1) Jesus prepared the precious blood on the cross of Calvary in order to wash our sins. Anyone can be forgiven of their sins if they go before Jesus. Just as we wash our hands even after believing in Jesus, we must repent of our sins by relying on the precious blood of Jesus. (Rom. 3:23~24)
2) Sick people need to go before Jesus who was hung on the cross. Jesus saved sinners and healed the sick wherever He went during His earthly ministry. (Matt. 9:35)
3) The Lord who changed bitter water to sweet and turned water into wine at a wedding that took place at Cana prepares everything that we need as we live our lives. (Phil. 4:19)
2. The relationship between God and us
1) God is telling us today “not to fear.” (Isa. 43:1)
2) We must know who we are in order to overcome fear. God is telling us, “I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” (Rom. 8:32)
3. Why can we live in peace?
1) We can be peaceful no matter what kind of situation we may face in life. This is because God promised us that He will be with us when we pass through the waters and the fire. (Josh. 3:13)
2) We are precious and honored in God’s sight. God loves us. (Isa. 43:2~4)
Conclusion
Our lives are always surrounded with big and small problems. In order to solve those problems and to live a happy life, we must go before God. This is because God knows all our circumstances and prepared everything that we need. Despite such fact, people who cannot live by faith cannot see or enjoy things that are prepared by God. We, as the children of God, must receive with faith and enjoy things that were prepared by our Father God.
