The Power of Love
(1 Cor. 13:13)

God is love. God gave us the greatest love by giving His Son Jesus Christ on the cross. Therefore, we should respond to God’s love with faith. We can have joy and true happiness when we share love with each other.

1. Love is about giving
1) The essence of love is to give. We cannot prove love empty-handed. (John 3:16)
2) God demanded Abraham to prove love. (Gen. 22:2)

2. God’s proven love is Jesus
1) God gave us love, forgiveness, righteousness, and salvation through Jesus. (Rom. 5:8)
2) God gave us the grace of healing through Jesus. (Ps. 103:3~5)
3) God allowed us to free ourselves from poverty and curses through Jesus. (3 John 1:2)
4) God gave us the promises of resurrection and eternal life through Jesus. (John 5:24)
5) God gave us the fullness of the Holy Spirit through Jesus. (John 14:16~17)

3. Love makes the recipient change
1) We are born again as the children who are loved by God. (2 Cor. 5:17)
2) We are in Jesus who is righteousness, holiness, and salvation. (1 Cor. 1:30~31)
3) God prepares amazing grace for us. (1 Cor. 2:9~10)
4) Even though we are weak like jars of clay, Jesus is in us. No matter what kind of sufferings and crises we may face, we cannot fail because the Lord is with us. (2 Cor. 4:7~12)

Conclusion
The Bible says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Cor. 13:13) There is nothing in this world that we can compare love with. As the children of God, we live in His love. Therefore, neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
