The Master
(Eph. 6:10~18)

The master of all things in the universe and time is our God the Trinity. Therefore, God is the only one who determines good and evil in all things. Also, judgments of good and evil of all existence depend on the sovereignty of God. Adam and Eve were created to serve God. Human beings’ judgments on good and evil should not take place because it challenges God’s absolute sovereignty. God who is the only master of all things is the one who can determine good and evil in the universe.

1. The devil who challenged to the sovereignty of God
1) The devil was originally made as God’s servant. But, he rebelled against God due to greed. Angels who rebelled with the devil became evil spirits. (Rev. 12:9)
2) The devil is called the one who holds authority in the air. The Bible records that “God saw that it was good,” whenever things were created. However, it does not mention about this when an expanse was created. (Gen. 1:6~8)

2. The devil’s temptation and the fall of man
1) The devil that holds authority in the air and evil spirits that follow the devil are behind every evil that takes place in this world today. (Eph. 2:2~3)
2) God said to Adam and Eve, “But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” However, Adam and Eve fell for the devil’s temptation and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As a result, their spirits died. (Rom. 3:10)

3. The judgment as the result of the fall
1) Judgment was declared to Adam and Eve who rebelled against the word of God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
2) The woman had to give painful birth and be ruled by her husband. Because the ground was cursed, Adam had to go through painful toil so that he can eat all the days of his life. (Gen. 3:16~19)

4. The devil who became the king of the world
1) We must stand against the devil that holds authority in the air and that is evil enemy. (Eph. 6:10~11)
2) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Eph. 6:12)
3) In order to stand against the devil, we must put on the full armor of God. (Eph. 6:14~18)

Conclusion
To eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is to declare being equal to God. No matter what we face, God who is the master of all things is the one who should make judgments on good and evil, not human beings. We are not masters. We should believe in and serve God who is the only master.
