Conversation with the Holy Spirit
(Rom. 8:1~17)

People cannot have conversations with nonliving things or animals. This is because nonliving things or animals do not have personalities like human beings with knowledge, emotions, and will. God made human beings following His image and created them as spiritual beings that can have conversations with Him.

1. Humankind created in the image of God
1) God created man in His image and likeness. (Gen. 1:27)
2) Human beings who have knowledge, emotions, and will live by having conversations with others. (Gen. 2:7)

2. The Holy Spirit with knowledge, emotion, and will
1) The Holy Spirit has knowledge, emotions, and will as God. (1 Cor. 2:10)
2) Those who believe in Jesus can have conversations with the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 4:30)

3. Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues
1) If you look in Acts chapter 2, when Christians received the fullness of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, they started to speak in other tongues because the Holy Spirit allowed them. (Acts. 2:1~4)
2) Speaking in tongues is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Those who speaking in tongues brings virtue and can pray for Christians who are in crises. (1 Cor. 12:28~31)

4. Conversation with the Holy Spirit
1) The Holy Spirit speaks to us through dreams and visions. (Acts 2:17)
2) The Holy Spirit speaks through knowledge, emotions, and will. (John 14:26)
3) The Holy Spirit speaks through the Bible which is the word of God. (2 Peter 1:21)
4) The Holy Spirit speaks to us through prayer. (Eph. 6:18)

Conclusion
If we walk the path called life by ourselves, it will be lonely and tiring. However, we will feel supportive if God walks with us. We are not alone. We are walking with God. If we walk with Him without saying anything, that means we are not walking with Him. We need to tell the Holy Spirit of our situations, listen to His voice, and receive His guidance. A life that is with the Holy Spirit is the greatest blessing a Christian can have.
