Look with Faith
(John 6:5~11)
We must live with faith. When Jesus saw a great crowd coming toward Him, He said, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” Philip judged with his own experience and knowledge and concluded that it was impossible. However, Andrew came to Jesus with five barley loaves and two fish with faith as small as a mustard seed despite his doubt. Jesus accepted this faith and performed an amazing miracle. No matter what kind of situations we face, we experience miracles when we move forward with faith.
1. A life according to senses
1) Because Philip relied on his own experience and knowledge, he thought that feeding thousands of people in the desert where there was nothing was impossible. (John 6:5~7)
2) We cannot experience miracles if we do not have faith about Jesus. (Heb. 11:6)
2. A life according to faith
1) Andrew brought five barley loaves and two fish and said, “But how far will they go among so many?” (John 6:8~9)
2) Miracles come when we move forward with faith as small as a mustard seed. (Luke 17:6)
3. The Lord who is with us
1) Just as the desert lacks everything, there are many things we lack in life. (Job. 5:7)
2) Even if life is like the desert, we lack nothing if the Lord is with us. (Isa. 41:10)
3) We must go before the Lord and ask with faith. (Heb. 10:38)
4) Plant the seeds of faith and confess with our mouths that miracles will come to pass. (Mark 11:24)
Conclusion
As we live our lives, we should not only rely on humans’ experiences or knowledge. We must look to our Almighty and good God who is always with us and move forward with faith. Then God will work big and amazing things for us.
