The Life of Prayer and Thanksgiving
(Php. 4:6~7)

Philippians 4:6-7 say, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” When we face various problems in life, we should not worry or be afraid and pray by going before God and give thanks. Then, the peace of God will guard our hearts and our minds.

1. The life entrusted to God with prayer
1) There is no life without sufferings. Even if we face difficult situations, we do not need to worry or be discouraged because we can pray to God. (Gen. 3:17)
2) If we commit things to God with prayer, we can enjoy peace no matter what kind of situations we face. (1 Peter 5:7)

2. The life entrusted to God with thanksgiving
1) Thanksgiving is not the problem of conditions or circumstances, but the problem of faith. Those who believe in God can give praise of thanksgiving in the midst of sufferings. (Ps. 23:4)
2) If we commit every worry to God, God gives us dreams and hopes. (Ps. 42:5)

3. He will guard your hearts and your minds
1) When we put down our worry and fear and commit things to God with prayer and thanksgiving, God will guard our hearts and our minds and give us peace that the world cannot give. (Phil. 4:6~7)
2) The Holy Spirit gives us strength to overcome problems and provides a way out by working through our thoughts, dreams, faith and spoken words. (Mark 11:23)

Conclusion
When we face difficulties in life, we must not be discouraged or fall in despair. This is because disappointment and despair are given by the devil. Believe in God’s goodness and guidance and move forward with prayer and thanksgiving. Then, God will protect us and do big and amazing things for us.
