The Water and Bread of Life
(John 6:35)

Today, we are living in an era of abundance more than any time in history. Due to the development of science and technology, we are enjoying the benefits of civilization that we could not imagine before. However, if we look into people’s inner self, they are still living a thirsty and hungry life. They are living every day in the midst of a sense of guilt, meaninglessness, death, emptiness, hatred, resentment, worries and fear.

1. A thirsty and hungry life
1) Due to Adam’s sin, all people are living a hungry and thirsty life.
2) Because humans are spirits, they cannot gain true satisfaction when leaving God.

2. Jesus, the bread of life
1) Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”
2) Jesus gives life. People who believe in and invite Jesus as the Savior can gain eternal life and live a life overflowing with joy and hope every day.

3. Pray with dreams and faith
1) 3 John 1:2 says, “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” Jesus not only solves the thirstiness of the soul, but also solves hungriness and thirstiness of life.
2) We must look to the cross of Jesus and pray by having dreams and faith. If we prepare vessels called dreams, God will fill them.

Conclusion
Hungriness and thirstiness of life can be solved when we meet Jesus who is the bread of life. Even if we face difficult situations, we can have dreams if we look to the cross of Jesus. If we move forward by praying with dreams and faith, God will guide and take care of our life.
