The Faith of the Centurion
(Matt. 8:5~13)

When Jesus was in Capernaum, a centurion came to Him. The centurion came to Jesus because his servant at home was paralyzed and in terrible suffering. When Jesus said, “I will go and heal him,” the centurion answered, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” Jesus was astonished at his answer and said, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” The Lord works through our faith even today.

1. I will go and heal him
1) Jesus died on the cross by carrying our sins. Therefore, people who believe in Jesus can receive forgiveness of sins and live a life of holiness and health. Also, they can live a life that receives the blessings of Abraham and that has hopes of resurrection and eternal life.
2) If we know who Jesus is, we do not worry or are not in fear when facing hardships. We can commit all our problems of life to Jesus.

2. I have not found anyone with such great faith
1) Faith is seen with our eyes. This is because faith is revealed through actions.
2) God works through our thoughts, dreams, faith and confessions of mouth.

3. It will be done just as you believed it would
1) If we move forward with faith, God grants amazing miracles for us.
2) No matter what kind of hardships we face, we must believe in our good God and move forward with prayer.

Conclusion
As we live our lives, there are many times when we face hardships and difficulties. However, those who believe in and rely on God are not discouraged or fall in despair no matter what kind of situations they face. Apostle Paul confessed, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:38~39) If we believe in the love of God and move forward with prayer, God works and grants us amazing miracles in our life.
