I Will Go and Heal Him
(Matt. 8:5~13)

A centurion came to Jesus, asking Him to heal his servant who was a paralytic. After Jesus heard what he said, Jesus said, “I will go and heal him.” Then, the centurion answered, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” When Jesus complimented his faith and said, “It will be done just as you believed it would,” the servant of the centurion was immediately healed. What we need to know through this story is that “Jesus is the one who heals diseases.”

1. Jesus who heals the disease
1) When God created Adam and Eve, there were no diseases and death. However, when Adam and Eve rebelled against God, diseases and death in life of human beings came.
2) Jesus carried our sins and transgressions on behalf of us and took away our sins by dying on the cross. There is the grace of forgiveness as well as the grace of healing in Jesus.

2. Pray earnestly
1) We must clearly know that healing diseases is the will of Jesus and pray earnestly.
2) The Lord has given us authority of healing diseases. So we must use that authority.

3. The Lord who heals the disease with the Word
1) The centurion said, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” If you look at what he said, the centurion knew that there is amazing authority in Jesus’ word.
2) God heals us with the word. The Bible says, “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.” (Ps. 107:19-20)

Conclusion
God is a good God. He saves souls, heals diseases of our bodies and hearts and solves problems of life. Therefore, believe in God who heals all problems and pray earnestly. Then, He will send His word and heal us.
