The Judgement Handed over to His Son
(John 5:26~29)

The Bible says God is Spirit. Because human beings were created in God’s image and likeness, they have spirits. Spirits live in houses called bodies. If spirits leave bodies, death comes. However, death is not the end for human beings because they have spirits.

1. The true state of human as a result of sin
1) Death brings the severance of conversations. Those who are dead do not answer no matter how many times they are called. Likewise, those whose spirits have died do not answer even if God calls them. They do not react even though they have listened to the gospel. They do not know where they have come from, what they are living for and where they are going.
2) The Bible says, “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” (Heb. 9:27) Since Adam, all human beings are under the judgment of God.

2. God who gives us the salvation
1) God did not want man to be destroyed. So He granted the grace of salvation by sending Jesus Christ. Through death on cross, Jesus gave sin offering for us. Thus, all people who believe in Him receive forgiveness of sins.
2) If we believe in Jesus, we become God’s children. God is with us as a merciful Father and not as a scary judge. In addition, when we receive forgiveness of sins and are in harmony with God, we are able to live a life where we may enjoy good health and that all may go well with us, even as our souls are getting along well.

3. The heaven prepared for us
1) Death is not the end. All people face death, and judgment waits after death. We must live by clearly knowing about the reality of the world after death.
2) God left judgment to Jesus. Therefore, those who believe in Jesus as the Savior do not face judgment. We must strive to preach the gospel in season and out of season.

Conclusion
Without Jesus, life is just a shell. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.” (John 11:25) Life without Jesus may seem like it is alive, but it is dead. Life with Jesus lives even though it dies. If we close our ears when God calls us and do not come before Him, there is no way for us to avoid judgment. Only Jesus is the way of salvation and the source of life. I bless you that all of you will accept Jesus as the Savior and gain life.
