Go to the Land I Will Show You
(Gen. 12:1~3)

God said to Abraham, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.” God’s command to leave his beloved country where he lived for 75 years, his people and his father’s household was harsh in some way. However, God’s command given to Abraham gives us who are taking the path of faith, following Abraham, valuable teachings.

1. Leave your country, your people, and your father’s household
1) A heart that relies on the world and the things that belong in the world become an impediment to the path that follows God. So, God told Abraham to leave his country, his people and his father’s household that he relied on, and He personally became the resource of life that he can depend on.
2) God abundantly prepares all things that we need in life. Jesus said, “Do not worry saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’” We must put down every worry and fear and go to the land that God has prepared.

2. The reason that suffering is coming to us
1) People do not want to return from a life that follows the world. So, God allows sufferings in order for us to put down the world and to live our lives centered on God.
2) If we absolutely believe in God, serve Him and rely on Him, He prepares a new land for us. If we move forward with faith and obedience, the Holy Spirit guides the path.

3. Rely on the Word of God and go ahead
1) In order to go to the land prepared by God, we must rely on the word of God. When we rely on the word of God and obey His word, God is with us.
2) When we face sufferings, we don’t need to be discouraged or fall in despair. If we believe in our Almighty God and earnestly pray, He will grant us miracles and open the path to live in front of us.

Conclusion
God is a good God. God prepares a life where we may enjoy good health and that all may go well with us, even as our souls are getting along well. Therefore, invite God as the master of life and go forth by holding onto the word. Then, we will enjoy amazing grace and blessings prepared by God.
