Jesus Christ, Eternal Hope

Malachi 4:2-4, NIV
?? But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall. 3 Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things," says the LORD Almighty. 4 "Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.??
The whole world is struggling with sin and despair. Every day we hear news about people who are desperate because of the serious damage from a cyclone in Myanmar and because of the terrible disaster from an earthquake in China. All these show our present state of separation from God. Since the fall of Adam and Eve, despair took root so deeply in the history of humankind that humankind is incapable of finding hope on their own. We can find hope only when we return to God.

1. Revere the Lord (Mal 4:2).
What is the purpose of life? We are created for God's glory (Isa 43:7). While we are living on earth, we should serve God with fear and awe (Pr 1:7).
Sinners cannot stand before God. We should come to the Lord in prayer, with tears and repentance (Isa 6:5,7; 1:18).

2. Jesus Christ, the sun of righteousness.
When we repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our personal Savior, He will come into our hearts as the sun of righteousness. Accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your Savior (Jn 1:12).
Jesus is the only way for sinful human beings to move toward God (Jn 14:6; Ac 4:12).

3. Jesus Christ, the healer.
Jesus comes as the sun of righteousness and shines the light of healing.혻 His healing light makes the darkness and despair disappear (Lk 1:78-79). Hope and courage will overflow in our lives (Isa 60:19-20). Both spiritual and physical sickness will be healed (Isa 53:5).
Two-thirds of Jesus??ministry on earth involved healing (Mt 4:23-24).
Accept Jesus as the sun of righteousness, and live with an overflowing river of healing in your life (Mk 16:17-18).

4. The Lord who gives us victory (Mal 4:3).
What kinds of problems and difficulties do you have? When we rely on Jesus who is the sun of righteousness, He will give us great victory (Jn 16:33; 1Cor 1:18).
The power of darkness will surrender before the cross of Jesus. In order to make this happen, we must always remember God's word of promise, hold on to it, and advance by faith (Mal 4:4).
We should repent and return to the Lord, because the Day of Judgment is near (Mal 4:5-6).
