Faith Comes from Hearing the Message
Romans 10:17, NIV
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and
the message is heard through the word of Christ.
In living a life of faith, nothing is more important than faith, for the work of salvation starts from faith (Ro 10:9). Some people think that they need high qualifications or great achievements to be able to receive salvation. However, salvation is received by nothing complex or difficult. It is received only by faith in one’s heart in Jesus Christ, the Savior.
1. What is faith? (Ro 10:17).
Faith is to believe in Jesus Christ (Heb 12:2). Faith is the hand that grabs salvation from God and the vessel that holds it. When we believe, Jesus creates faith within us and makes it complete. He enables us to do a great thing through faith (Mt 17:20). Faith means to change our thoughts into God’s thoughts and live according to His will. Then God is pleased with our faith (Heb 11:6).
2. A life that hears the voice of God (Ro 10:17).
Where does such faith come from? Faith comes to our hearts from hearing the Word of God. The worship service that we offer to God is important, because the Word is proclaimed through it. The messages of absolute positivity, absolute hope, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, healing, the Fivefold Gospel and Threefold Blessing change our hearts and our circumstances when we hear them. That is why we should always keep our hearts open and pay careful attention to the Word, to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
3. The word of Christ who is life.
The Word brings Jesus Christ, our Savior, into our hearts. The Scripture, the Word of God, is stained with every drop of Jesus’ blood. When we read the Word, our hearts get sprinkled with that blood. All power and miracles come from the Word of God. The grace of salvation, the grace of the fullness of the Holy Spirit, the grace of healing, the grace of blessings, the grace of heaven and the Second Coming overflow in our lives, giving us new strength to live a victorious life.
4. The work of faith (Heb 11:1).
If you have faith based on the Word of God, then you should fulfill the work of faith for the glory of God. March forward with your godly dream and faith. You may be in pitch-dark surroundings, but when you move forward in faith, miracles will happen. The unconquerable city of Jericho collapsed when the Israelites marched around it in faith for seven days. Advance with absolute, positive faith with a thankful heart (Ro 5:3-4). When we do so, ultimately God’s will is going to be accomplished (Ro 8:28).
Stand on faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord. Listen to the voice of God through the Word, and live a victorious life. I pray that you will all become a person of faith that is pleasing to God, and live a life that brings glory to God.
