The Work That Has Been Achieved on the Cross
3 John 1: 2 (NIV)
혻?쏡ear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you,
even as your soul is getting along well.??
The starting point of Full Gospel faith is the Cross of Jesus Christ. The Cross is not a mere accessory or decoration, but it is the center of Christian faith and life. Jesus completed His work of salvation on the Cross. When Jesus said, "It is finished," four remarkable benefits of grace were given to us.
1. Loving relationships with God have been restored.
God calls us "my dear child." A human being is created as an object of love. But Adam and Eve's spirit died because of sin and the Fall, (Ge 2:17), the environment was cursed (Ge 3:18), and physical sickness and death came into our lives (Ge 3:19). Our lovely relationship with God turned into a relationship with the enemy. On the Cross, Jesus restored this broken relationship and changed it into a relationship of love (Eph 2:16). Whoever believes in Jesus will not be disconnected from God through the Holy Spirit and will have a relationship of love (Ro 8:35). When we look at the Cross, despair, sorrow, and pain will turn into everlasting victory, joy, and healing.
2. The blessing of a soul.
Our spirits were dead because of sin and death, but now they are alive because of Jesus??death on the Cross (Eph 2:1). When we are born again, we will be freed from the law of sin and death, because the life of Jesus will be reborn within us (Ro 8:1-2), and our soul will get along well. We are freed from sin and despair, and have become precious beings who have eternal life. Now we have become children of God who first seek the glory of Jesus and God and seek first His kingdom and righteousness (Mt 6:31-33).
3. The blessing of prosperity.
When our soul prospers, all things will go well (Mt 6:33), because Jesus on the Cross cleansed the curse of poverty, famine, and the environment (Gal 3:13). Now we can have this blessing and abundance in our life through honesty, integrity, and diligence. Therefore, have the mindset of prosperity, sow the seed of faith, give thanks for the blessings you receive, and share them with others.
4. The blessing of health.
Through the death of Jesus on the Cross, we can enjoy good health (Isa 53:5). The work of healing was two-thirds of Jesus' ministry. Divine healing is still available today, and whoever comes to Jesus will receive healing in body, soul, and spirit (Heb 13:8; Mk 16:17-18). Even at this moment, healing from the light of Jesus Christ is shining down upon our lives.
Full Gospel faith accepts the Bible as it is. I pray that you may accept the work of Jesus on the Cross and receive blessing in your body, soul, and spirit, so that you may have life and have it to the full.
