A Life of Thanksgiving

Psalm 100:1-5, NIV

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
혻2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
혻3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
혻4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
혻5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Thanksgiving is the duty of believers. We should give thanks for the amazing grace that sinners like us are saved and have become children of God. When we give thanks, marvelous things take place. Thanksgiving changes us, our neighbors, and our society. Thanksgiving is an offering that pleases God.

1. A life of worshiping the Lord with gladness.

We should live our life serving the Lord with joy (Ps 100:1-2). When we believe in Jesus, we overflow with the joy of salvation. This joy that God gives is indescribable and isn?셳 found in the world. The second of nine fruits of the Holy Spirit is joy. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, joy wells up in our hearts like spring water. Live a life of overflowing joy (Php 4:4). Joy refreshes us every day, and makes us healthy spiritually, mentally, and physically. I pray that you will drive out resentment and complaining and be faithful to the Lord with joy and thanksgiving.

2. A right relationship with God.

In order to serve the Lord with joy, we must have a right relationship with God. God is the Creator, the Master who owns us, the King who reigns over us, and the Pastor who raises us (Ps 100:3). Therefore, live with God and create a new history (Ge 1:1). I hope that you will absolutely obey God your Master as His servant (Isa 41:9), live a life of victory as a royal priesthood in the Lord, under the reign of God our King (Ps 24:8), and live a life that always experiences the love of God's care (Ps 23:1).

3. A life of coming before the Lord with thanksgiving.

We should always come before the Lord with thanksgiving. The Bible says, ?쏣nter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name" (Ps 100:4). Our lives should be filled with abundant thanksgiving unto the Lord (Col 2:7). God is glorified through our abundant thanksgiving, so when we come to Him, wonderful things happen. Thanksgiving is the channel of God's blessing. The Lord's blessing will be on those who give thanks.

We should live our lives giving thanks for everything. I pray that you will have a right relationship with God, serve the Lord with joy, come before Him with thanksgiving, experience the grace of God, and live a life that glorifies Him.
