癤풞 Donkey with Jesus on its Back
(Mt 21:1-9)

Just as a baby is the most comfortable in its mother?셲 arms, and lovers are the happiest with each other; so are we when we are close to Jesus serving Him with joy. Jesus rode on a donkey as he entered Jerusalem. Even a donkey was at its most blessed moment when it was able to carry Jesus, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings on its back.

1. A donkey was used according to prophecy.
The OT book of Zechariah describes Jesus as riding on a colt, the foal of a donkey (Zec 9:9). The tied donkey was tame. God uses those who have been tamed and trained. You should examine your reflection against the mirror of the Word of God, repent and humble yourself. The donkey was tied but had never been ridden; which indicates the purity and immaculacy of the donkey. We should be pure and immaculate in faith in order for God to use us for His purposes.

2. The donkey takes the yoke.
When the donkey works, it takes the yoke on its back. Jesus came to the world to bear all our sins and despairs (Isa 53:4). John the Baptist said when he saw Jesus coming toward him, ?쏬ook, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!??(Jn 1:39). We must take up our cross and follow Jesus. Jesus said to His disciples, ?쏧f anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me??(Mk 8:34). To follow Jesus we must deny ourselves and take up our cross.

3. The donkey exalted Jesus.
?€The donkey that Jesus rode on was a gentle animal. Gentleness is characteristic of Jesus (Mt 11:29-30). Both Jesus and the donkey emulated peace which brought peace to everybody. The donkey also illustrated obedience. Though He was the Son of God, Jesus lowered himself to become like one of us and obeyed God even to the point of death on the Cross (Php 2:7-8, Heb 13:12). Do not mistake His glory for yours. Humble yourself with gentleness and obedience to exalt only Jesus.

?€I pray in the name of Jesus that you all serve Jesus as your master just as the donkey did.
