God's Kingdom, God's Righteousness
(Mt 6:29-34)

Human beings live for happiness. People want to live happily, but all of them are not happy. Then what is true happiness and where does it come from? Humans can be happy when they live according to the purpose for which God created them. We have been chosen as God's children who are loved by Him. Therefore when we love and serve God, we can live a happy life.

1. Do not worry
We who are in the Lord can always live a life filled with joy. However, there is something that disturbs it and that is the worries in our hearts. The Lord said that we should not worry about what to eat, what to drink and what to wear. While we live in this world, different kinds of worries concerning clothing, food and housing are surrounding us. These concerns are from the world, and they drive us to despair and trouble. Therefore, in order to overcome the problem of worries, we should come to God in prayer and with thanksgiving in everything.

2. Seek God's kingdom
The Lord said, "Do not worry about anything but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness." Then He promised that all things would be given to us. The Kingdom of God is the Kingdom where God alone governs and is glorified. Therefore we should live a life that only God governs and bring glory to God through our whole life. Then the Kingdom of God will come in our heart and the joy that God gives will overflow in us.

3. Be clothed in God's righteousness
Furthermore, we must be armed with the righteousness of God. The Lord said that we should always long for the righteousness of God. The righteousness of God is that we should be armed with the truth of God and stand right before Him. But we can not be righteous by ourselves. Only when we are empowered by the blood of Jesus Christ can we be justified freely by the grace of God. When we are clothed with the righteousness of God, we can be acknowledged by God and live a joyful and happy life.

God is our Father and knows what we need. Therefore we don't have to worry about anything. I pray that you seek the Kingdom and righteousness of God in everything, and live a life with abundant joy and happiness that God gives to you.
