혻 The fullness of the Holy Spirit is the secret of a victorious life in this world that has lots of troubles and problems. Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He commanded His disciples to be filled with the Holy Spirit. When the disciples prayed, depending on the Word of the Lord, on the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit came on them and there was a tremendous revival.

1. The gift that the Father promised (Ac 1:4-5)
혻 Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He commanded His disciples not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised. Jerusalem is the place where Jesus was crucified and the human dreams of His disciples disappeared. However, the Lord had a new plan there. In order to accomplish the plan, His disciples had to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. The promise of the Holy Spirit was already said when the Lord instructed His disciples in the upper room.(Jn 14:26, 15:26) I hope that you also receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit to accomplish the new history of God like the disciples. 혻 혻

2. Restoring the Kingdom to Israel (Ac 1:6-7)
혻 The disciples were interested only in things that were related to themselves until Jesus ascended to heaven. Their interest was 'when Israel their land would be restored' and 'when the end of the world would come.' They were more interested in what would happen to them than the will of God. However the Lord did not need to know the restoration of Israel since it belonged to the authority of the Father. 'When the end of the world will be' is beyond our concern. It's because the time and the period belong to the authority of God.

3. The witnessing life (Ac 1:8)
혻 Jesus said that it is not important to know 'when the end of time is' but to receive the power of the Holy Spirit and become the witness of the gospel. Preaching the gospel is the commission of Jesus.(Mt 28:18-20) We should "preach the gospel to all creatures throughout the world." (Mk 16:15) Without the fullness of the Holy Spirit, we are unable to live a powerful Christian life and to catch up with the mission as the witnesses of the gospel. When the Holy Spirit comes on us, we can accomplish the commission of Jesus. When we obey the commission and preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, Jesus' coming again will be near. Therefore we must do our best to live a life of a witness.

혻 I pray that you are filled with the Holy Spirit, become the witness of the gospel, and change the world until the Lord comes.
