癤풦 Have Overcome the World
(John 16:33)

Living in the world which has many problems, we are involved in spiritual warfare, both large and small. However, we Christians who are saved through faith in Jesus must fight a battle that has already been won over. When Jesus said on the cross, "It is finished," a great victory is already given to us Christians.

I. The peace of the Lord

Jesus wants us to enjoy the peace in the Lord. While living in this world that has a lot of troubles and hardships, we must keep our hearts firm to enjoy the peace God gives us (Proverbs 4:23). The Lord gives us peace which no one and nothing in the world can give us (John 14:27). I pray that we will live as Christians in this rough world, enjoying the true peace in the Lord by dwelling in the Lord and being filled with the Holy Spirit.혻혻

II. The trouble we have

The Lord said that we will have tribulations in the world. However, in case we should face trouble, we must be bold. The Lord is with us, keeps us and protects us in such tribulation. Tribulation may benefit us (Romans 5:3-4). ??It makes our faith mature enough to be recognized in the eyes of the Lord. ??It makes us return to the Lord from the wrong way. Job did not grumble nor complain in the midst of extreme tribulation. Grumbling and complaint are the devil's tool. Grumbling and complaint will destroy people?셲 lives. So go forward with the faith of absolute positivity. Then the tribulation will turn into a blessing.

III. Jesus who has ovecome the world

The Lord, who is the king of kings proclaimed, "I have overcome the world." Jesus on the cross destroyed the power of sin and death and won over them. Jesus who has overcome the world is our Lord. With Jesus becoming the Lord, the victory of Jesus Christ has become ours. The Lord is with us forever, leading our way. This is Good News, or 'Gospel'. Therefore be strong and courageous. Together with the Lord, fight off evil forces and win victory. Do not retreat but move on with prayer and supplication.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has overcome the world through the cross. He defeated the authority of the devil. That Jesus is with us. Therefore when trouble comes along, neither be discouraged, grumble, nor complain but boldly move forward, holding onto Jesus who has overcome the world. His victory will be ours.
