The Time of the Glory of God
(Isaiah 27:2-6)

God is doing amazing things for His beloved children. Even though we are currently placed in the hard situation or in the place of despair, we should not dwell in it. Believing that God, the author of history will protect us, His children and has prepared the time of glory for us, we should boldly arise from the place of despair and move forward in faith.

1. God who considers us precious
God called the Israelites as His own vineyard (Isaiah 27:2). Today, the church and the saints which believe in Jesus Christ are to be referred to as God's vineyard. Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches." (John 15:5) In Jesus Christ, God beholds us, His vineyard as precious and helps us to bear beautiful and rich fruits through our lives. What a wonderful blessing it is! Even though you are in a difficult situation right now, be glad and rejoice in the Lord. The Lord will guide our steps and have His good will take place in our lives.

2. God who is our protector
God said that He Himself is the protector of His vineyard (Isaiah 27:3). He promised that He will protect the vineyard so that no one may harm it by watering and guarding it day and night. Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener." (John 15:1) In Jesus Christ, God, the farmer of the vineyard cares for us and protects us in order that no one may harm us, who are the vineyard of God. God also says, "I am not angry against the vineyard." (Isaiah 27:4). This is because we who used to be under the wrath of God are reconciled to Him through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. How amazing this grace is! When we abide in Jesus Christ, who is the vine, God's care and protection will not leave us throughout our lives.

3. God who has prepared the time of glory
God said, "In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit." (Isaiah 27:6) When the time of hardship passes, that of glory will be restored through the Lord’s grace. Our faith will take deeper root, flowers will blossom, and much fruit will be formed. Therefore whatever afflictions we are facing, we should move forward, looking at the time of glory prepared by God and believing in God who will make all things work together for good.
