Jesus Who Has Come to Us(1)
(Isaiah 11:1-5)

Jesus is the son of God who came to earth to redeem mankind who are living in despair caused by sin. The coming of Jesus Christ is the news of the greatest miracle in the history and the joy for all the people. Several books of the Old Testament prophesy that Jesus is coming as the redeemer. Today, through the prophecy of Isaiah, I?쁡 like to tell you who Jesus is.

1. To be accompanied by the Holy Spirit
Isaiah Chapter 11, verse 2 says, "The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him?봳he Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD?? Throughout His life, Jesus lived together with the Holy Spirit. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, tempted, being led by the Holy Spirit, preached the word and healed disease by the power of the Holy Spirit. Also before crucifixion, He gave the promise for the coming of the Holy Spirit and after resurrection, He commanded people to receive the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we must be always filled with the Holy Spirit. This is because only through the fullness of the Holy Spirit, we can fulfill God-given mission.

2. To fear God
Isaiah 11, verse 3a says, ?쏦e will delight in the fear of the LORD." Jesus always took pleasure in the fear of God. Fearing God means that you serve God with fear and trembling and live according to His will. Only by the fear of God, Jesus wanted to fulfill the will of God, and lived a life of sacrifice and service throughout His life for this cause. Imitating the Lord, we should take pleasure in the fear of God throughout our lives.

3. To judge not by appearance but with justice
Isaiah chapter 11 verse 3b-4a says ?쏦e will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth." Jesus Christ does not judge people according to their appearance but judges them with justice, looking at their hearts. Jesus Christ cares for the poor and humble with honest judgment and destroys evildoers with righteous judgment. Therefore we should practice righteousness in the Lord and always live an honest and humble life.

4. To bring true peace
Isaiah chapter 11 verse 6 says, "The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them."This tells us that Jesus is coming in this world as the king of peace. Even as dying, crucified on the cross, Jesus forgave and prayed for them who crucified Him. Now forsaking all hatred and strife, we should live a life of love and forgiveness in the Lord.
