Let's move forward with dream and hope
(2 Kgs. 7:3-10)

Everyone faces the edge of cliff. However, we should not be depressed by despair and should step forward with dream and hope. Jesus is with us in the middle of hardships, so we should look at Jesus, seeking his help. Only those who overcome difficulties with dream, hope and faith will experience miracles, thereby spreading the grace of God and living a blessed life.

1. People in despair

The city of Samaria surrounded by the Aramean camp was facing severe famine. Even women killed to eat their children. The reason for this miserable situation was because they left from God and worshipped the idols. People in the world live like this. Without God, we only face miserable situation. The leprosy decided to leave the city and asked some food to the Aramean soldiers. (2 Kgs. 7:3-4)

2. A step of faith taking with dream and hope

The leprosy men stepped forward bravely to get to the Aramean camp, thinking they would die if the soldiers would kill them. They were armed with faith. When they reach the edge of the camp, not a man was there. (2 Kgs. 7:5) God uses the person who looks at the Lord and step forward with faith to give miracles even when they are in troubles and hardships. (Heb. 11:6)

3. God's help
God helped the four leprosies who were with dream, hope and faith. Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses, and a great army. So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives. As a result, the men who had leprosy, ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold and clothes. (2 Kgs. 7:8) God helps those who walk along with the faith and bring about miracles. (Ps. 46:1)

4. The good news that we should deliver

These four leprosy who were eating fully and drinking lot ran toward the city and reported this good news. (2 Kgs. 7:9) This good news saved many Israel people who suffered from hunger. The city was filled with happiness. Like these four men, we should deliver the Good News, the Gospel for the people in the world. (Rom. 10:15)
