The Lord is with Me
(Ps 23:4-6)

God whom we believe and serve becomes our shepherd. (Ps 23:1) God leads us to green pastures and riverside for our taking a rest. God, our shepherd, fills our needs of our life abundantly and solves troubles and difficulties of our life thereby guiding us to peace and blessing of God.

1. Immanuel God
God is with us all the times. (Ps. 23:4a) Sometimes we face a period of suffering like passing by the deep and dark valley of death in this world. The deep scars in our minds, physical diseases, financial difficulties come to our life and drive us to fear and frustrations of our hearts. However, God asks us not to lose brave heart and courage even in that moment because God is never away from us by leading us with his staff and protecting us with his powerful rod. (Ps. 23:4b) Therefore, we should trust on God even in any situations.

2. God who prepares a table before me

God prepares a table before us. (Ps. 23:5a) Living a life, we face numerous hardships and will be attacked by evil spirits laughing at us and blaming on us. Also, guilt, anxiety and worries attack us as our enemies. However, God wants us to keep our heart brave because God gives us victory through Jesus and prepares a table of happiness and blessings before our enemies. Therefore, we should be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit thereby becoming brave and powerful Christians. (Ps. 23:5b)

3. God who is good and graceful

God is generous and good. (Ps 23:6a) Not only facing countless adversities and problems of life but also encountering our weaknesses and lacking of our needs, people tend to pursue visible things that they can see in order to get help. However, we have God who controls everything for Good. Thus, we should seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness primarily, and then the generosity and grace of God will be ensued. Therefore, we should not be tied with the things of the world. Rather we should seek for God, longing for the eternal house of God, heaven of God. (Ps. 23:6b)
