We Look to the Lord Alone
(Ps.123:1-3)

When we live our lives, we will be in trouble or hardships. During that time, there is only one we should look up and depend on. When we look at our problems, we are frustrated, depressed and worried. However, when we fix our eyes on Jesus who wants to give us his mercy, we will experience amazing events.

1. Our eyes look to the Lord

The Psalmist said that he lifted his eyes to Lord. (Ps. 123:1) The writer was one of the captives who were captured by Babylon. He had to live as a captive and was scorned and ignored. (Ps. 123:4) However, he looked up his eyes to see the Lord. Stephen looked at Jesus when the death came closer. The secret of victory is to look at Jesus when the troubled time comes. Therefore, we should shift our focus to God. Looking at the Lord gives us victory instead of looking at people and environment around us.

2. We long for your mercy
According to the writer, we should look at our God just like salves look to the hand of master. (Ps. 123:2) The destiny of servants was decided by the master. Once the master allows blessings and grace, they will be happy. Otherwise, they should live unhappily. Therefore, we should look for mercy of God so that we can be healed, guided and helped by the hands of the Holy Spirit. (Ps. 138:7) We will have blessings when we seek for the grace of God and wait the time of being blessed by God.
3. We are full of your grace

The writer says that we should live in the blessings of God. (Ps. 123:3) Grace of God is full enough to fill our lives and soul with love and grace of God. (Ps. 23:5) Therefore, we should expect to have our lives filled with the blessings of God. Once we are touched by the grace of God, the broken relationship will be recovered. Likewise, our school, workspaces and business places are blessed. Let us give glory to God. When we live with the grace of salvation, the cross, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, healing and forgiveness, we will have miracles.
