Grace and Blessing of the Resurrection
(Jh 20:19~23)

The resurrection of Jesus is the most miraculous and amazing event in the human history. Jesus beat the power of sins and death and was resurrected from death thereby giving us a real life, joy and hope to all human beings. Once we believe in Jesus Christ, we can be saved and joy eternity. What Jesus told to his disciples after his resurrection contains the secret of amazing blessings.

1. The blessing of Peace
The disciples were afraid of the death of Jesus so they locked the door and hid from the public. However, Jesus came to them, proclaiming peace. The peace Jesus gave was different from that of the world. Jesus overcome the root causes of fear and anxiety stemmed from sins and death.

2. The blessing of evangelism
Jesus ordered his disciples to spread the Gospel for those who were in sins and depressions after Jesus had blessed his disciples. The reason why Jesus allowed us to be saved is to spread the Gospel for the others. Looking around, there are many people not knowing Jesus and living with adversities and hardships. With the power and love from Jesus, we should proclaim bravely that Jesus becomes our way, truth and a life in the world.

3. The blessing of the fullness of the Holy Spirit
Jesus filled his disciples with the spirit of the Holy Spirit. To take the mission we are given from Jesus, we should be filled with the Holy Spirit. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, no one can believe in Jesus and cannot live successfully to keep his or her faith in Jesus. The fullness of the Holy Spirit means we are filled with Jesus. Therefore, once we are filled with Jesus, we overflow with the power and personality of the Holy Spirit naturally thereby becoming witness of Jesus. Let us be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit so that we can achieve the mission Jesus asks us to do.

4. The blessing of forgiveness.
Forgiveness is the crystal of love and completion of resurrection. We are new thanks to enormous love and mercy of God. Therefore, as the forgiven, we should forgive others. Once we forgive others, we experience the answer of God and miracles of God. Jesus even forgave people who nailed him on the cross. By resembling Jesus, we should forgive our neighbors so that we are filled with the grace of God abundantly.
