The Lord is with Me
(Ps. 118:5-9)

Everyone in the world has problems. People face various problems and troubles with experiencing small and big hardships. Today's scripture reading says how to overcome hardships in our life.

1. The crying faith
Adversity and hardships are the signs which enable us to pray hard. We should put down our will and judgment before God and pray hard when we go through difficult moments. Even we are in sins but when we repent our sins, the God with unfailing love will accept and forgive us. Therefore, come to God and confess your situations and weaknesses. God is willing to listen to our prayers. Do not give up praying hard when the answers seem to be too late for you to be patient. You should pray hard until you get the answers from God. God will answer us with his best things in God's time.

2. God who is on our side
To receive the help of God, we should stand beside God. When we embrace the heart of God and obey God, we will experience God who is working for us. When God is with us, we should not be terrified by any types of hardships. Nothing can defeat us. God is with us. (Rom. 8:31) As God helps us, we should not be worried. We do not have to fight directly against those who make us troubled. God will fight for us and judge the enemies. By putting trust in God who stands beside us, let us march forward faithfully.

3. God who is the refuge
We should take a refuge in God instead of finding the human ways when the troubles come to our life. (Ps. 118:8-9) Even humans are strong and wise, we are creatures created by God. Therefore, we should hold God who has unlimited wisdom and ultimate power. In attending worship service, people there are seemed to be sincere enough to serve God. As soon as they go out of the church, whether they are real christians will be revealed. Premature christians tend to depend on other people, power and material things while the sincere christians tend to come before God to pray hard to experience the guidance of God. Let us depend on God, who becomes our secured refuge and shelter.
