I Was at His Side
(Pr. 8:30~31)

It is sometimes hard and burdensome for us to keep our faith in the world full of sins. But remember that God who is good protects the faithful people, leading their life to the end. Believing and following Jesus is the biggest and the most amazing blessing, which cannot be compared to anything in the world.

1. Faith walking with the Lord
Faith starts with being accompanied with Jesus. When we walk with Jesus, we can experience and know him, and as a result, our faith about him grows. On the contrary, when we are away from Jesus, Stan attacks us. Therefore, we should obey the will of God and walk with him. God is pleased with the person who is with him and gives the person the blessings of God. Enoch didn't see death and went to heaven as he was with God during his lifetime. (Ge. 5:22-24) Joseph, who was with God, was able to live a life of prosperity in spite of his hardships. (Ge. 39:2-3, 20-23). Therefore, we should not look at the world. Instead, we should have faith which leads us to be with God so that we can be blessed by God.

2. The craftsman’s life
The craftsman can create beautiful artworks from plain stones. We are the children of God Almighty, so we should live a life of a brilliant creator. We should train our talented gifts from God to show the glory of God. When we depend on God, seeking for the power of God, God will allow us to have wisdom and power to go beyond our limits. (Ps. 40:31) However, the talents, material things and money and time that have come from God should not be used for filling our selfish desires. We should give hope to the people in troubles by using our talents and comfort the people in sadness to create shining light in the darkness as the children of God.

3. The life that pleases the Lord
Everything in the world can be the most beautiful and valuable when used for its original purpose. Every human should praise the Lord according to the purpose of the creation of God. God will reward those who earnestly seek him. (Heb. 11:6) When we praise the Lord, we can be filled with the greatest joy. Coming to church a week is not enough for our life of faith. We should walk with God, seeking him in every moment. We should always approach God, putting the purpose of our life in him. We should do all things for the glory of God so that God may be pleased by our life.
