Thanksgiving in the Midst of Suffering
(2Co. 1:3~7)

God uses the tools of suffering to give blessings to us. If we march forward with absolute positivity and absolute thanksgiving when sufferings come to our lives, the sufferings will turn into blessings.

1. The Lord who comforts us in the midst of suffering
God of compassion comforts us in all our troubles and gives us strength to overcome the troubles. God is with us to protect us from hardships as He is not away from us. Furthermore, God helps us to comfort those who are in troubles with the mind of God. (2Co. 1:3-4) When we see people suffering from various hardships, we should share the love and comforts of God with them. We should become friends for those who are in troubles. Let us encourage, help and comfort one another to experience the overflowing love and comfort of God.

2. The Lord who makes us endure suffering
We cannot avoid sudden rain falling. Likewise, we cannot avoid unexpected tribulations. We should endure the hard times patiently. We eventually achieve our hopes after overcoming troubles with holding faith in Jesus tightly. (Rom. 5:3-4) The purpose of troubles is not to make us fall down. It is for us to pass through the hardships to become the great man of God. The moment when we cannot endure difficulties, Jesus helps and saves us. Therefore, let us tolerate sufferings to receive the amazing blessings of God.

3. The Lord who makes us thankful in the midst of suffering
The key to overcome the troubles is related to the grace of God and gratitude toward God. When we grumble or complain as we face hardships, we confront bigger troubles. We should not stop giving thanks and praises to God. (2Co. 4:15) God is pleased with our gratitude. God shows the miracle of salvation through our confession of giving thanks to God. With holding the message of God, keep marching with keeping positive attitudes and giving thanks to God. Don’t be frustrated. God will make everything successful at the end when you live with the will of God.
