The Work of the Fullness of the Holy Spirit
(Ac. 4:29~31)

The Apostles Peter and John healed the crippled man, who was disabled from the birth. As the word of this traveled across Jerusalem, the church experienced a remarkable revival. Similar to this, the greatest influence on church growth is the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

1. The authority that believers have
In order to prevent Peter and John from evangelizing, the religious and political figures of the day put them in prison. They began to question them by what power or what name they did this. Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them. “It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that this man stands before you healed.”(Ac. 4:10) In the end, Peter and John were freed from them, and all those who saw them honored God. Likewise, the name of Jesus becomes the way of salvation and has the great power. Therefore, we should be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit to drive out the power of dark. Then, we will gain victory with the grace and the power of God.

2. Boldly proclaiming the word of God and practicing love
After being freed, Peter and John boldly declared God's favor, prayed for them to preach God's word with great boldness, and pleaded with God to stretch his hand to heal and work amazing signs and wonders through the name of Jesus.(Ac. 4:29-30) Then, the spiritual revival took place as the people were filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit and spread the Words of God. They shared what they had and took care of each other with love. Thus, there was no one who was starved. Likewise, we should be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit in order to courageously proclaim God's Word and demonstrate Jesus' love. The miracle of God transforming and healing the world will take place as a result.

3. The work of the church revival
Church growth is the outcome of the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we as the servants of God should be filled with the Holy Spirit. When people elected the seven deacons of the early church, people chose those who were filled with the Holy Spirit and were praised by other people. One of them was Stephen, who was full of the Holy Spirit and power, brought about the miracles and wonders of God. When he preached the Words of God, people felt guilty and they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices. They even stoned against him. The Gospel was spread outside of Jerusalem as a result of Stephen's martyrdom. We should be armed with the spirit of martyr to become the witness of the Gospel. Then, we will see the revival of the early church overflowing to our church as well as our personal lives.
