What is Success?
(Proverbs 16:1-3)
Every person in this world dreams of living a successful life, but what does success truly mean? It is not simply about accumulating wealth, achieving higher status, or gaining fame. These things alone cannot bring genuine success or lasting happiness. True success is found in living a life that pleasing God, our Creator, and gaining His approval.

1. The ways of man and the will of God.
If life always unfolded exactly as we planned and imagined, we might feel comfortable and satisfied. However, no one on earth lives a life where every desire is fulfilled (Proverbs 16:1). In reality, life takes a completely unexpected direction. Take Joseph as an example. While he dreamed of being elevated by God, yet in reality, he faced hatred from his brothers, was sold into slavery in Egypt, and endured great suffering. Yet, even in the midst of such trials, Joseph remained faithful to God and walked closely with Him. In God's perfect timing, Joseph was elevated to the position of governor in Egypt. In the same way, true success is found in following God's guidance and seeking His approval above all else

2. God who searches our hearts
People often spend a great deal of energy worrying about how they are perceived by others. However, the lives of Christians should not be influenced by the opinions or judgments of those around them. Rather than seeking approval from people, we must fix our focus on God, who examines our hearts (Proverbs 16:2). No matter how admirable a life may appear to others, it is ultimately a failure if it does not receive God's approval. May we strive to live lives that bring joy to God, lives that are noticed and cherished by Him. Let us strive to glorify Him in all that we do, prioritizing His approval above all human recognition.

3. A life entrusted to God
The key to living a truly successful life as Christians lies in entrusting everything to God and living with a "God-first" mindset (Proverbs 16:3). We are not merely called to express our trust and love for God with words but to fully entrust our lives to Him, relying on His faithfulness for guidance and provision. May we dedicate ourselves to seeking God's kingdom and righteousness above all else, committing our lives into His hands. In doing so, we can live under His care and experience the blessing of a life approved by Him.?I earnestly pray that all of us may live such successful lives, guided, provided, and approved by God.
