Because There Was No Room for Them in the Inn
(Luke 2:1?7)

The birth of Jesus is the greatest miracle and the most joyful event in human history. Though we were born into sin and bound by it, through Jesus we have received forgiveness and the path to salvation. Yet the world did not recognize Him then, and even today many still do not know the gospel. For this reason, we must proclaim the true meaning of Christmas and share Jesus Christ as our Savior.

1. Jesus Came to Save All Humanity from Sin
Jesus is the Savior who came into this world to redeem all humanity from sin. The announcement of His birth was not first delivered to kings, the wealthy, or religious leaders, but to shepherds, people regarded as lowly and insignificant in society at that time (Luke 2:8?9). While they were watching their flocks at night, an angel appeared and proclaimed good news of great joy for all people: that a Savior, Christ the Lord, had been born in the city of David (Luke 2:10?11). This reveals clearly that the birth of Jesus is glory to God and peace to those on earth (Luke 2:14). The grace of salvation He brings is open to everyone. As we rejoice in the birth of Jesus Christ, who came to save us from sin, may we also commit ourselves to sharing this good news of salvation with people everywhere.

2. Jesus, Coming to a Lowly and Humble Place
Jesus entered this world in the lowest and most humble circumstances. At that time, a census ordered by the Roman emperor Augustus required people to return to their hometowns (Luke 2:1). Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem, but because of the crowds, they found no place to stay. With every inn full, Jesus was born in a stable and laid in a manger (Luke 2:7). Through this, the Lord revealed His humility and love, not through splendor or power, but through simplicity and weakness. This scene invites us to reflect on our own lives today. Many people, overwhelmed by busyness and daily responsibilities, live without making room in their hearts for Jesus. Even those who profess to serve the Lord can become so consumed by work and obligations that they lose sight of true fellowship with Him. May this Christmas be a time for us to return to the center of our hearts, making room once again for Jesus, the humble Savior who came for us, and restoring a place for Him in our lives.
