What Is Seen Was Not Made out of What Was Visible
(Heb. 11:1~3)
The Bible records many miracles performed by God. However, there are many people who think that those things are impossible today. God who we believe in is the same yesterday and today. God who worked in the past works the same today. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Faith is being sure of what we look at. We must draw the things that we hope for coming true in our hearts and pray by looking at them so that the Holy Spirit will work.
1. Abraham’s present faith
1) God taught Abraham the principle of visualization. When Abraham dreamed about having many descendants by looking at the stars in the sky at night, faith came into his heart.
2) In addition, Abraham received material blessings by applying the principle of visualization. God gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were. In order to work with God, we must look at the things that are not as though they were.
2. Jacob who applied the principle of visualization
1) God taught about the principle of visualization not only to Abraham, but also to Jacob.
2) The angel of God appeared in Jacob’s dream and said, “Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted.” (Gen. 31:12)
3. Look at the cross
1) The cross of Jesus is what we need to look at today. Whenever we look to the cross, we must remember and look to the historical event that took place at the cross.
2) Whenever we look to the cross, we must remember that Jesus has given us forgiveness of sins, holiness, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, healing, health, the blessings and prosperity of Abraham, resurrection, eternal life and heaven.
Conclusion
Look to the cross of Jesus and have a dream in your heart. And make confessions with spoken words by having faith. Then, the Holy Spirit will work and make that dream come to pass.
