The Spirit of the Lord Is on Me
(Lk. 4:16~21)

Those who believe in Jesus for the first time say that it is difficult to understand about the triune God. They also say, “How can the thoughts of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit of God be the same?” But because God is triune, He works with the same thoughts in all things.

1. Triune God’s salvific work
1) God the Father sent His one and only Son Jesus Christ to save us.
2) God the Son came as a human being and took away the price of our sin with the precious blood of the cross and finished the work of salvation that God has committed to Him by saving us.
3) God the Holy Spirit works to help people realize the salvation that Jesus accomplished on the cross and to help them to believe in Jesus. The triune God worked together for our salvation.

2. The Spirit of the Lord is on me
1) Luke 4:18 says “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
2) Jesus worked with the Holy Spirit during His public ministry. Jesus healed all those who were oppressed by the devil because God has poured the Holy Spirit and power on Jesus.

3. The life with the triune God
1) No matter how desperate our circumstances may be, we must have absolute faith towards our Father God.
2) If we are in Jesus, He provides us with all resources necessary to bear fruit. As long as we are in Jesus, we can live a creative and productive life.
3) When we acknowledge and rely on the Holy Spirit, we are able to carry out our mission given by the Lord.

Conclusion
God works as the triune God. We must have absolute faith towards our Father God and remain in Jesus with faith and obedience. We must acknowledge, welcome, invite and rely on the Holy Spirit. Then, God will work, and abundant fruits will be produced in our life.
