The Love of God
(Rom. 8:35~39)
In this world, there are many things that people consider as valuable. Some people value wealth that they purse wealth. Some people value honor and power that they live by pursing those. However, there is something that is valuable and precious to the point where nothing can be compared with it. That is the love of God. The love of God who gave His Son goes beyond description.
1. The love of God for us
1) In order to save us who have many sins and transgressions, God gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to the cross. Therefore, the love of God is great love that can’t be measured.
2) The Bible says that God has chosen us before the world began. God has chosen us before the creation of the world and predestined us to become God’s children in Jesus.
2. The love of God to change us
1) If we realize the love of God, we get to have boldness in our hearts. When God Almighty loves us, no one and nothing can harm us.
2) If we realize the love of God, we form a healthy self-esteem in our hearts. When we realize that we are recognized and loved by God, we can live with a healthy heart.
3) If we realize the love of God, we get to work for God with a joyful and thankful heart. We freely give our materials and time and do not refuse to go through troubles no matter what they are.
3. The love of God for us to overcome the world
1) We can be more than conquerors when it comes to every hardship with the love of God towards us.
2) Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” The Lord who loves us to the point where He has laid down His life becomes our shepherd and is keeping us as the apple of His eye. Thus, nothing can harm us.
Conclusion
The strongest thing in this universe is love. We are receiving great love of God the Father and Jesus Christ the Lord, and the Holy Spirit, the Counselor, is always with us. Because God’s love is always with us, we can be more than conquerors when it comes to all kinds of hardships.
