Fix Your Eyes on Jesus
(Heb. 12:2)

Our life becomes different depending on what we look at. Today, many people live by looking at meaningless things of this world. They look at money or power or honor or status or authority and live by putting their hope in them. However, those things are never eternal. As time goes by, they vanish like a mist. Then, what do we need to look at? The Bible says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” (Heb. 12:2)

1. Jesus who gives us the forgiveness of sins
1) Since Adam, human beings are carrying origin sin of rebelling against God. In addition, they are living by committing many sins. They can’t break the chain of sin no matter how hard they try with their strength.
2) If Jesus comes, He gives us forgiveness of sins. By hanging on the cross, He takes away our sins and declares that we are righteous.

2. Jesus who gives us a holy life
1) Jesus gives us the fullness of the Holy Spirit and allows us to live a holy life.
2) By prayer, we must receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit every day and live a holy life.

3. Jesus who gives us healing
1) Because Adam and Eve rebelled against God, diseases came into the life of human beings.
2) Only Jesus can heal us. Isaiah 53:5 says, “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

4. Jesus who gives us a prosperous life
1) If we rely on means and methods of man when facing difficulties in life, we will fail.
2) The Bible says, “And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (Ps. 50:15) When we encounter hardships, we must look to Jesus and rely on Him.

5. Jesus who gives us the resurrection and the eternal life
1) While many people live by looking at perishable things of this world, they go to the eternal path of destruction.
2) Those who believe in Jesus can look to resurrection, eternal life and heaven when they leave this world.
