Grace that God showed
(Ps. 107:1-9)
It is last week of this year, 2015. Looking back upon this year, we should give thanks to God because everything is God’s grace. People praise themselves when things turn to be good, while they blame others for things to be bad. However, we should give thanks to God, remembering that all have been done by the grace of God.
1. God who redeemed us from the hand of the enemy
There were many problems and difficulties and also we had scars caused by others. However, God has protected us from all enemies. We don't need to be worry whatever happens because God's goodness and mercy is forever. (Ps. 107:1) Those who hide behind God and depend on God will be blessed. Therefore, we should wrap up this year, giving thanks to God.
2. God who answered to our prayers
Our life is like a dessert which is barren and dry, so we cannot find real satisfaction, peace and Joy. Without God who answered to our prayers, we would spend weary and exhausting days. However, God listened to our prayers, turning agony into glory, sadness into happiness, and wounds into blessings. God knows our worries and anxiety and listens carefully to our prayers. (Exod. 3:7) Therefore, we should give thanks and praise to God who allowed us to get answers from God.
3. God who filled us with good things
God filled us with good things. (Ps. 107:8-9). Our life has started with the grace of God and should be end with the grace of God. Everything happened in this year has been touched by the graceful hand of God. We were weak and not perfect but God gave us abundant grace when we tried to live as what God wanted us to do. However, sometimes we blamed for small matters and used negative words. Therefore, we should be armed with strongly positive faith and live as a new creature by being filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
