Blessings that the Lord has prepared for you
(Nu. 6:22-27)

All people in the world want to be blessed, so they seek for the blessings in their own way. However, only God can make us alive and satisfied with his blessings. Based on today's scripture reading, we see the three-folded blessings of God for his people.

1. Blessing and Keeping you

God wants to give us blessings. After God created us, God gave us blessing to be abundant, control the lands and animals in the world. Even though our situation is very difficult, we can expect amazing works of God who gives us his blessing because he can creates everything from nothing. We had to be dead and were nothing because of sins but we now become blessed children of God after believing in Jesus. To enjoy the blessing of God, we should become faithful and sincere people of God. Throw away negative thoughts hindering blessing of God. Depend on God and God will give us blessing and protect us from hardships.

2. Making his face shine on you and being gracious to you

God gives us blessing of showing his face on you. When God makes his face shine on us, we meet the God of Love. When the love of God is shone to us, worries and anxiety will be removed and we praise the Lord. Paul and Silas, who was sent to prison because of spreading the gospel, praised God. The reason for our being loved by God is because of God's grace. Therefore, we should not forget the love of God and confess the love of God. Seek for the light of God's love everyday so that we live in the grace of God.

3. Turning his face toward you and giving you peace

God sees and protects us every day. God is interested in our daily problems. Jesus didn't turn away from those who sought for his help. The blind man, Bartimaeous, was able to see when he met Jesus. Also, a woman suffered from bleeding was healed when she met Jesus. When we pray, Jesus listens and heals us. And the answers of God come to us peacefully. The real peace will come to us when Jesus sees and embraces us with his love. Let us seek for the face of Jesus and enjoy real satisfaction, happiness and peace.
