The Honorable Person
(1Ch. 4:9~10)

People with positive thought can actively deal with problems to overcome them while people with negative thought tend to be frustrated by troubles and experience failures. Therefore, we should hold the Word of God tightly and be armed with the absolute positivity and faith for better future.

1. We are honorable people
Jabez was born when his mother was in pain. His mother cherished the son more than any other child. God saved us in His pain as he sacrificed his one and only son Jesus for salvation so we become precious children of God. Thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, our identity changed from the slaves of the sins into the precious children of God. We should give thanks to this amazing grace. It doesn’t matter who we were before believing in Jesus. It is important that we are now precious children of God. Remember that we are honorable and precious children of God who saves us. (Isa. 43:1, 4)

2. Have blessings that the Lord gives
People in the world want to be blessed a lot. However, the worldly blessing is temporary and limited. We should receive the blessing of God. Jabez prayed that God would bless him and enlarge his territory. He asked God to be with him with keeping him from harm so that he would free from pain. He prayed for his territory to be enlarged. He wanted God to be with him and asked God to get rid of his pains. Likewise, our faith should be enlarged to give glory to God. We should go through every hardship with the Almighty hands of God. Let us not be distressed in troubles by being accompanied with God so that we will be peaceful.

We are all precious and honorable children of God. In this new year 2021, let us live our days meaningfully as the precious children of God.
