The Fruit of the Atonement on the Cross (Fivefold GospelⅠ)
(Jn. 3:16, 14:26)
When Jesus suffered on the cross, Jesus said that it was finished. That means Jesus accomplished the great salvation God had asked. As the result, the five-fold gospel including the Gospel of Regeneration (Rebirth), the Fullness of the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, Blessing and the Second Coming of Christ after death, are given to us.
1. The Gospel of salvation (regeneration)
People cannot solve the matter of the sins. We were born in the sins, are living with sins and die because of sins. So, it is commonly said that humans are the desperate beings. When Jesus was a live, a man named Nicodemus came to Jesus at night and said he knew that Jesus had come from God. He also said that for no one could perform the signs Jesus had done if God were not with Jesus. Jesus answered no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. However, he did not understand. So Jesus explained no one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven?the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him. Likewise, we should look at Jesus on the cross and receive the blessing of being born again and that of eternity.
2. The Gospel of the fullness of the Holy Spirit
When we believe in Jesus, we are blessed to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus has worked with the Holy Spirit. From birth, Jesus was born with the Holy Spirit. Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit to the desert to be tested and Jesus had fasted for 40 days. Jesus taught about the Holy Spirit at the night before being on the cross. Furthermore, Jesus asked his disciples to be filled with the Holy Spirit before ascending to heaven. (Ac. 1:4-5) After being filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit, the disciples were totally transformed. They were powerless and timid when Jesus was caught and they ran away. However, they became great disciples after being filled with the Holy Spirit on the Pentecostal day. Once we are filled with the Holy Spirit, ① the Holy Spirit will be with us forever, ② reminds us of what Jesus had taught about, ③ makes us witnesses of Jesus, ④ shows the glory of Jesus ⑤ and helps us bear the 9-fruit of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we should be filled with the Holy Spirit so that we are completely transformed enough to be used as the great servant of God.
