Leave it all to the God
(1 Peter 5: 7-10)
Life is like navigating a sea filled with great and small waves. To safely navigate stormy seas, an experienced captain must guide a ship to secure the safety of the passengers. On the journey of life, the only captain who can safely guide us to the harbor of heaven is Jesus.
1. Cast all your anxiety on Him.
Peter, the disciple beloved by Jesus, encouraged believers enduring problems and hardships to cast all their anxieties on the Lord. Anxiety and worry unsettle our hearts, disrupt our sleep, and weaken our faith. Instead of spending time worrying, we should fix our eyes on the Lord, who resolves our problems, and trust Him with everything. By doing so, the Lord will uphold us and ensure that our faith remains unshaken (Psalm 55:22). May we become people of the Word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit, overcoming anxiety and living victoriously.
2. Be self-controlled and alert.
Christians must always remain spiritually alert. When faced with difficulties, we should not become disheartened, wounded, or defeated. Instead, we must stand firm in our faith, overcoming all challenges and living victoriously. Prayer is essential for maintaining spiritual alertness. It is a tool of blessing given to us by God, and when we pray, the Lord hears and answers us. Let us continue in prayer with thanksgiving, becoming strong warriors of faith who resist and triumph over the evil enemy, the devil.
3. He will make it firm and steadfast.
Jesus not only makes us perfect, strengthens us, and fortifies us, but also solidifies the foundation of our faith. Even when we face hardship in the world, we can remain bold and at peace because our Lord Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33). Though the evil one may try to burden us with worry, anxiety, and fear, we must hold on to the promises of the Lord and trust in the God who fulfills them, moving forward with strong and courageous faith (Joshua 1:9). I earnestly pray that, with Jesus, who makes us steadfast, we may overcome all enemies and live victorious lives.
