God Saw That It Was Good
(Genesis 1:3-5)
The most meaningful and fulfilling way to live is to accept and welcome Jesus Christ as our Savior and to live a life approved by God. Just as God first created light at the beginning of creation and called it good, so our greatest joy and blessing in life come from living in a way that is pleasing in His eyes.
1. The Almighty God who spoke light into existence.
The Bible begins with God's declaration of creation. In the very beginning, God formed the heavens and the earth, and His first act was to create light, the essential source and foundation of all life. Scripture affirms that Jesus is the true Light who came into the world (John 1:9-10). Moreover, Christ proclaims that He is the Light of the world, and as His followers, we are also called to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16). Therefore, we must invite and welcome Jesus into the core of our hearts and strive to reflect His light. Through our good works, we glorify God and live as a light in the world. When we walk in this manner, we will experience blessings in our souls, success in all things, and strength in both body and spirit. May we live righteously before God so that we may fully experience His abundant grace.

2. A life walking in God’s favor and approval.
Just as God saw the light He created and saw that it was good (Genesis 1:4), our lives must also become lives that are approved by God. To live a life that is approved by God, we must meditate on His Word day and night and obey His commands. Moreover, we must be people of faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. All the great examples of the faith were approved by God because of their faith (Hebrews 11:1-6). Moreover, we must be people of prayer who seek after God's heart. Jesus faithfully devoted Himself to prayer, setting a profound example for us to follow. As He began His public ministry, He fasted and prayed for forty days (Matthew 4:2). He rose early in the morning to pray (Mark 1:35), and before crucial events, he spent the night in prayer (Luke 6:12-13). May we live a life that is approved by God through His Word, faith, and prayer, so that we may experience the true blessings that bring Him joy.
